In one of our previous Seabim Blog posts dealing with the oil spill, we described BP's plan: The "static kill" should be the first step to plug BP's leaking well in the Gulf of Mexico permanently. The relief well should be the second step (possibly next week) to achieve the "bottom kill" (permanent plug). However, it seems possible now, that the successful "static kill" already DID the "bottom kill" (who came up with these words??). Current tests will show ...
