Southwest Florida - more than beautiful Beaches!

Two weeks ago the oil flow into the <st1:place w:st="on">Gulf of Mexico</st1:place> was stopped. (There is still work to be done.) We are thankful, that the oil never made it to our beautiful beaches in <st1:city w:st="on">Fort Myers</st1:city>, Sanibel, <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Naples</st1:place></st1:city>. Our readers know from previous posts, that our area never seemed to be at risk (beaches, vacation home canals in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Cape Coral</st1:place></st1:city>). However, in the last weeks many concerned vacation home guests and home owners found out how many things can be done and seen in <st1:place w:st="on">Southwest Florida</st1:place>, that are not beach related. <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Fort Myers</st1:placename></st1:city> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Beach</st1:placetype>, <st1:placename w:st="on">Naples</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Beach</st1:placetype>, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Vanderbilt</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Beach</st1:placetype></st1:place>, etc. – all of them are beautiful. Boating, jet ski etc. are wonderful. But there is so much more to "our" <st1:state w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Florida</st1:place></st1:state>!
